The Design Second Opinion
Before you renovate, replace, or resign yourself to what is not working, let’s look at your house differently.
SOMETIMES THE HADEST PART IS KNOWING WHERE TO BEGIN
Your house may already contain the answer.
A Design Second Opinion is a focused consultation for homeowners who sense that something is wrong—but are not yet certain what the right move should be. I look at light, views, privacy, proportion, materials, and the relationships between rooms, then help you identify the few changes that will matter most.
01
Show me the problem
Send photographs, a simple plan if you have one, a short walk-through video, and the questions circling your kitchen table.
02
I study the relationships
I look beyond isolated finishes to understand movement, sight lines, light, privacy, scale, and what the house is trying to become.
03
You receive clear priorities
I look beyond isolated finishes to understand movement, sight lines, light, privacy, scale, and what the house is trying to become.
O P U N T I A B AT H R O O M S
What you have. What I see. What it can become.
BEFORE: THE INHERITED CONDITION
A constricted, dated bathroom did not need cosmetic decoration. It needed a clearer plan, concealed storage, controlled light, and an architectural privacy screen that could organize the entire room.
DESIGN: THE IDEA MADE VISIBLE
AFTER: A CALMER SPATIAL ORDER
THE VALUE IS NOT A LIST OF PRODUCTS
It is knowing what the real problem is.
“Good design is not a collection of features. It is a relationship between everything.”

Sometimes the answer is not construction. It is clarity.
A continuous natural floor, a disciplined arrangement, better visual balance, and furnishings with history transformed an ordinary room without rebuilding it.
BEFORE FAMILIAR PIECES WITHOUT A UNIFYING ORDER
AFTER CONTINUITY, CHARACTER AND VISUAL STRUCTURE
LOCAL OR VIRTUAL
A concentrated conversation with a useful result.
The consultation is intentionally approachable. You do not need finished drawings, a contractor, or a complete scope of work before calling.
Existing-home renovations and additions
Room planning and interior direction
Light, views, privacy and indoor–outdoor connections
Review of contractor or designer proposals
Priorities before committing significant money
